A zombie is like an automaton- someone who is being controlled. Nowadays, it won’t be wrong to say that humans are becoming technological zombies. Human beings populate the planet Earth, and they have an unhealthy obsession with technology. Technology is considered as a necessary evil, and it has casted a spell on humans because their life would become a havoc without it.

Whether it is taking notes for a meeting or talking to a far-away friend, humans are dependent on technology. While they are crossing streets, they are on phone; while they are going for a walk, they are listening to music on i-pod etc. There isn’t an instance when they are one with themselves or with their surroundings.

A zombie’s weakness is its brain. It is their brain that has been infested upon and makes them behave in the way they act. Technology too has a similar effect on a human’s brain. Technology has gained some sort of power over the brain of the mankind and can twist it in any way it wants. We however are not sure yet if this twist is right or wrong. If you ask a toddler, a tween or a teen what they desire to have for their birthday, one word will slip from their tongue- ‘smartphone’. If you ask a member of the youth, what they wish to have, they will say – ‘laptop’. But if you ask the same question to someone in their old age, they will reply by saying – ‘quality family time’.

It is often heard that humans are the bacon of hope for advancement and what distinguishes them from other living organisms is their use of brain. But they are also late realizers. All their life, humans try to accomplish something which means a lot to them, but in doing so they forget about other important things like friends, families etc.

Mr. Zombie quotes “A mind is a terrible thing to wate”. This is more that applicable to humans. Humans are couch potatoes, they let technological developments such as television, phone, tablets etc corrupt your mind of valuable and analytical thoughts.
